The new VRs are now here! These new reels make the ownership of Van Stall quality reels more affordable, while retaining their legendary performance capability. The recent updates have improved the drag cap to ensure great performance across all drag ratings and with continual use. The spool shafts are also stronger to ensure better longevity.

VRs are the durable alternative to the high end Japanese reels youve seen out there, theyre much lighter and smoother with less resistance than their VS counterparts while maintaining nearly the same sealing as their big brother. The VR50 and VR75 are super light and awesome for lighter surf and inshore applications, they have enough braid capacity to cover most of your needs while being small enough to fish all day long. The 75 is the new size in their lineup but it is a welcome addition since the gap between the 50 and 125 was quite large as far as frame size. The larger 200 models cover the guys trying to fish bigger topwater lures from the shore and give you better casting distance in all applications so theyll be great for guys fishing larger poppers and stickbaits on the boats.

The other new addition is the right hand alternatives for guys that just cant get used to reeling with their left hand. The 51s, 151s and 201s are all right hand models equivalent in size and performance to their respective model.

The new VRs offer a fully machined 6061-T6 waterproof aluminum body, sealed and waterproof drag system, spiral-beveled drive gear and pinion. You have MicroClick drag tuning accuracy with a solid stainless steel center shaft with titanium nitride coating for long term performance. The new reels even come with a kit for bail-less conversion across all sizes. All reels will be shipped with the bail, but you can easily modify the piece if thats your preference!
