The Reefer series has been at the top end of the popping rods TR makes, with roots in the original Black Devil series these rods have a ton of pulling power and are made to cast and work the biggest poppers and stickbaits. These rods have a softer tip to make casting lures easier while still maintaining enough backbone for the biggest GT, yellowfin and bluefin. The 76 Model is a PE12 ~200g casting weight rod which is about as big as it gets, its hard enough finding lures in that size without spending $150 on handmade wood poppers. The 711 is more reasonable, it works best for poppers in the 120g range and stickbaits around 150-170g.

The blanks used are reverse tapered so they get thinner at the butt which saves weight and improves the durability of the ferrule so you wont have to worry.
